After the date has been set, the church has been reserved, and the gown has been altered, the attention of planning a wedding turns to the more intricate details of the ceremony and reception -- the music. Whether you are planning a traditional or non-traditional ceremony, you will want the music to reflect your style of wedding. Our experienced musicians maintain active solo and orchestral careers and are dedicated to helping you select music that best fits the theme of your wedding.

The standard string quartet is widely seen as one of the most important forms in chamber music, with most major composers, from the late 18th century onwards, writing string quartets. A string quartet is a musical ensemble of four string instruments—usually two violins, a viola and cello—or a piece written to be performed by such a group.

Although any combination of four string instruments can literally be called a "string quartet", there is only one Dallas String Quartet. There is nothing you can give your guests more than the elegance of a string quartet for weddings, anniversaries, corporate events, and parties. Let the intimate voices of our instruments cascade over you as you dance the night away. Or serenade your steps as you march down the wedding Aisle.

Dallas String Quartet is looking forward to sharing your very special event, and ready to make it yours with our unique touches, that your guests will not soon forget.

Stringed Ensembles

Quartet: The string quartet is a musical ensemble of four instruments-- two violins a viola, and a cello. The sound of a string quartet is expressive, romantic and refined. Their instrumentation is small enough for conversation, yet their music is sophisticated and elegant enough for any formal event. String quartets are the most fitting ensembles for wedding ceremonies and formal rehearsal dinners.

Trio: String trios are composed of three instruments -- a violin, a viola and a cello. This ensemble is great for more intimate weddings of up to seventy-five people.

Duet: The sound of a violin and viola perfectly complement small venues such as rehearsal dinners, art galleries, and restaurants.

Solo: Adding a warm sound from a solo violin to events such as anniversaries and grand openings will create long-lasting impressions on your guests.
